 Year round great weather in San Diego is perfect for biking. 

The 101 Highway is the most popular biking route in San Diego county and runs parallel to the the Coaster train. 

Increased biking and "active transportation" is a key initiative of SANDAG

  1.  The Coast Highway (101) is the most popular biking route in San Diego county, but increasing biking on this route is not feasible given the amount of traffic. A dedicated biking/walking trail would attract many riders.
